The unconventional side of coffee

HOw it all Started

Behind SO Coffee Roasters' birth, there is Lisa, Pedro and, João. Coming from Law, Ballet, and Music we could not have a more heterogeneous team. We have always been drawing our future, in charge of what we want to achieve, and what we don’t wanna be at all.

In mid-February 2019, we were around a dinner table ready to say goodbye to each other leaving the coffee company where we met and that brought us together, ready to take different paths when we realized that we had still so many ideas we wanted to accomplish together, so as organically as it sounds, we decided to start our own company: a place where we could finally be free to bring up all the facets we love about coffee, where to experiment and push boundaries. In few weeks, many conversations, questions, dinners, and calls, SO Coffee Roasters started.

On April 1st, 2019 we opened the first coffee shop inside @thefeetingroom, Porto, on May 1st the second shop inside @thefeetingroom Lisbon, adding Iryna and Tiago to the team. In January we started our collaboration with @bigornaparlour. In July 2019, we finally found our perfect main location: three floors all dedicated to coffee. In December 2019 we started construction on the shop and, with it, the challenges came. In November 2020, we opened our roastery and main coffee shop, and finally went online.
